Honey

We adopted a yellow lab mix in 1996. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer pet. She was wonderful; gentle and loving. She was a stray and we named her Honey.

In 1998, Honey was hit by a truck. She got out of our fenced yard trying to get our Boston Terrier puppy who had snuck under the gate. Honey got "Tess" back to safety but not without being struck by a passing truck. Dr. Wright patched her up so well and we were hopeful for a full recovery. But Honey developed nervous habits such as biting and chewing on herself as a result of the accident. We did everything we could for her but by this year, 2001 she just got so bad we couldn’t stand to watch her deteriorate. We made that horrible decision so many pet owners have to make. We put an end to Honey’s suffering and still cry from missing her so.

Thank you so much for letting us adopt Honey. She made us so happy and she had a loving home. We will adopt again someday
